Perfect place for a weekend getaway, Barceloneta is a fun place to stay if you enjoy the sun, sea and sand. Barceloneta was a traditional neighbourhood of sailors and fishermen, built in 1753. Just before the Olympic Games 1992 the Barceloneta was hugely for urban development creating splendour of entertainment attractions. These include a host of bars, restaurants, clubs and modern beach hotels e.g H10 Marina Barcelona, Residencia Melon District Marina and Ohla Hotel.

Barceloneta Neighbourhood has 4 kilometres of beaches, featuring the Maritime Promenade and the popular Mar de Bella, Nova Icaria and Bogatell Beaches. It’s also home to the Olympic Village, Port Vell and Catalan Art Museum. It’s a great place to experience authentic sea fish especially at one of Passeig Joan de Borbos restaurants. Barceloneta Neighbourhood is a 20 minute walk away from the city and easily accessible with the yellow metro line.
