BAM (Barcelona Accio Musical) is an annual indie music festival hosted during the Barcelona city festival La Merce. BAM runs over 60 free open-air concerts all over the city including the Placa Reial, Parc del Forrm and Rambla del Rayal and only recently in years Teatre Grec and Castell de Montjuic.

As part of the Fiestas de la Merced, Bam attracts a crowd of over 160,000 annually so it’s best to book your hotels early in order to get the bests deals at Amrey Diagonal, Avenida Palace, and Hotel Hesperia Presidente. The line covers a mixed range of European Bands and dance acts, mostly outdoor locations throughout the Catalan capital. You can’t possibly get bored of this festival there are smaller entertainment events happening in the Shopping mall and along the Barceloneta.

BAM offers the best international line-up. Previous guests have included The Hives, The Felice Brothers and the Duke & The King. From the Barcelona region, big local acts have included Inspira and Manel.
